You need to get a router which is attached to your modem which makes the internet wireless (wifi) then you can set it up for your computer & iPod touch when you get it.

On your ipod go settings - > wifi and connect to your home wifi, and enter password if you have a lock on your home wifi settings....

You need a wireless router from your isp then set up the wireless settings on your ipod
